The journey of welcoming, becoming family together, growing as disciples, and seeing everyone’s gifts being used to bless the local church and wider community is a joy, but can also be complex and challenging. Sharing the frustrations, questions, insights and breakthroughs with others can bring encouragement and strength to our different situations. Networking with people from different contexts can bring fresh perspectives, and sharing our experiences builds up the global family of God. How do we try to help with this?
Network gatherings
We plan to host periodic gatherings (online or face-face) of individuals/groups that have completed the JtF course, or are exploring the principles and issues raised in JtF materials. The aim is to offer a safe space in which people from different places can share experiences, learn, hear about new ideas, offer understanding, and be encouraged.
Interactive forum
Our interactive forum allows people to pose current questions or struggles, to ask for recommendations, or to share quick feedback or pointers that have helped them.
Focused connections
Sometimes we benefit from speaking to people with specific insights or who can understand our struggles. If you feel that it would be helpful to connect with a person or group in a similar context, or facing the same sorts of joys or challenges, you could ask us to find someone from the Joining the Family Network who might meet that need.
